Simon Viain after winning Challenge Davos: ‘A magnificent race’

Simon Viain won Challenge Davos yesterday. The Frenchman may have come as a slight surprise, but he was so tremendously strong that he gave his opponents no chance to run away with the victory. Most importantly, he enjoyed the race immensely and could only perform even better as a result.

“Victory at Challenge Davos. I’m very happy with this first Middle Distance victory this year. It was a magnificent race and we had perfect conditions for this beautiful day of triathlon. A big effort on the bike gave me a comfortable lead and allowed me to manage the difficulty on foot.”

In the coming weeks, Viain will focus on road cycling.
