It’s awards season once again at Challenge Family with voting for the Challenge Family Race Awards set to open on 25 October. The Awards were established in 2019 to celebrate the race organisers, volunteers and everyone who works behind the scenes to deliver the best race experience possible for the athletes at Challenge Family events around the world.
“With the knock-on effect of Covid still very much present in our industry, we’re looking forward to celebrating our races who have given so much to ensure the 2022 race calendar was full and enjoyed by the athletes,” said Challenge Family CEO, Jort Vlam. “The awards will be announced at the awards dinner at our annual race directors meeting in December, a time when we all come together for several days from all four corners of the globe, to plan, share ideas, reinforce our family culture and look forward to the new year ahead.”
Nominations for each category were decided on the strength of athlete feedback in the post-race surveys that are sent out after every Challenge Family race. The categories are:
- Best Race Venue
- Best Swim Course
- Best Bike Course
- Best Run Course
- Best Fans
- Best Finish Line Party
- Best New Race
- Best After-Race Food
- Most Eco-Friendly Race
- Most Family-Friendly Race
In addition, athletes also vote for the Challenge Family Race of the Year which last year was won by Lotto Challenge Gdańsk.
Voting for the Challenge Family Race Awards 2022 starts at 8:00am CEST on Tuesday 25 October, closing at 23:59pm CET on Sunday 6 November. The winners will be announced on Friday 9 December. Vote at: www.challenge-family.com/awards
