The race will start at the 2/4 Square, where participants will swim 1.9 km into the warm waters of Nha Trang. As swimmers make their way into the ocean, they will be leaving the sights of the city, the coastline, the mountain range and the islands on their back. After, 90km bike will follow along the coastline which passes through the resort segment of the city, the local boat harbor, and along cliffs. It is said to be one of the most thrilling race course of Vietnam but at the same time, one of the most stunning ones. 21km run along the coastline where participants will experience the cool breeze of the sea air while being accompanied by the sight and sounds of the locals and tourists around the different resorts.
This race course and the moment crossing the finish line does not only give you the feel of accomplishment by succeeding in the amazing feat but also the experience and the visual stories that you are able to put together along the way of your journey. Your experience at Nha Trang Challenge Vietnam 2019 will be a book of memories, together with family and friends, that you will cherish and never forget!
Enjoy the warm waters of Nha Trang, your 1.9 km swim will be a challenge yet enjoyable. As you swim you will be able to use the sights of the city, the coastline, the mountain range, and the island to keep your bearing as you swim. Using local expertise, we have chosen this area as it has the most predictable sea conditions with enough space to hold the race successfully and safely. The average sea temperature during September is about 28.3ºC (82.9ºF). The humidity average is 80% and the rain precipitation is 120mm.
The bike course will have you racing along the coastline. The coastline passes through the resort segment of the city, the local boat harbor, and along cliffs. Bikers will go 18 km out and will make the first U-turn. After this, participants will head back to the km 9. From here they will make the first U-turn and head out towards the fishing village. Participants will repeat this loop 4 times until you have completed 81 kilometers. After which participants head back to the square for the last 9 kilometers.
It will definitely be an enjoyable ride with its winding clean roads and inclines and declines making it more challenging but enabling you to gain speed for the push back to the race central.
Running along the coastline, you will experience the cool breeze of the sea air while being accompanied by the sight and sounds of the locals and tourists around the different resorts. Spectators will be lining the streets to cheer you as you power through the final stretch of the race. The run route will be dotted by groups of trees, which will shade you and give you an escape from the warm sun.
