Next to the Middle- and Sprint Distance race at November 29th, there will also be a lead-up event at March 22nd, which will host a Sprint- and Olympic Distance.

About Florianópolis: 

Florianópolis is the Capital of the Brazilian State of Santa Catarina, in the southern region of the country. About the race: 

CHALLENGEFLORIANÓPOLIS in 2020 will take place in Beira-Mar Norte and will have two stages, the first on March 22, with Olympic and Sprint distances, and the second on November 29, closing the year with a half distance, which will count as the Brazilian Championship Final.

The March race will be part of the commemorative events calendar for Florianópolis’ birthday and will have an innovative course, going through the main postcard of the city, the Hercílio Luz Bridge, which connects the island to the mainland, and which after a long recovery process had its reopening at the end of 2019. Athletes will have a privileged and unique view from this beautiful postcard.

The event will feature events in the Olympic and Sprint distances and has a practically flat course, which impels athletes to seek their best marks, bringing more emotion and motivation to the event.

Regarding the race that takes place on November 29, 2020, it will be validated as the closing stage of the Brazilian Long Distance Championship and will have a higher score than the other stages of the circuit, with the main names of the Brazilian triathlon in the distance and promising a close fight to define who will be the Brazilian champion of the 2020 season.
