Frederic Funk; the German world-class athlete is perhaps the one most watched during tomorrow’s The Championship. He is especially feared for his particularly strong biking, which for sure comes in handy on the course in Samorin.
“Hopefully the hard work pays off. It’s a really difficult race. I think a lot of people underestimate the bike course because they think it’s flat and easy, but actually that makes it even harder: you jut have to keep the aero position for 90km. After about 60km it will be torture for everyone. The bike definitely will make the difference.”
