Defending champ Anne Haug looks forward to DATEV Challenge Roth: ‘Definitely the race of the year’

Anne Haug was truly next-level at DATEV Challenge Roth last year when she won the race with a time of 8:22:42. This year the German defending champion will return and after seeing the women’s pro list she calls the race ‘definitely the race of the year’. Haug will compete against, among others, Chelsea Sodaro, Daniela Ryf, Laura Philipp, Laura Siddall, Fenella Langridge, Ruth Astle and Lisa Norden.

“I’m starting this year at DATEV Challenge Roth, not only because it’s the best race in the world. The starting field this year is just incredible and it’s unique at this level to have pro women and pro men and age groupers all on the same course on the same day. It’s definitely going to be the race of the year and of course I want to do my very best to compete against the best in the world.”
