CHALLENGEDAYTONA Partners with Pinarello as Official Bike Course Sponsor

Pinarello is proud to announce sponsorship of the upcoming CHALLENGEDAYTONA triathlon at Daytona International Speedway. As part of the sponsorship, the company has invited Pinarello pro triathlete Cameron Wurf to compete. Wurf most recently set the bike course record of 4:09:06 at the World Championships in Kona, breaking his own previous record. This feat was made possible aboard Pinarello’s new revolutionary triathlon bike, the Bolide TR+.

With a long list of great successes, the Bolide TT (predecessor to the new Bolide TR+) was unlike any other time trial bike in history. It was only natural that Pinarello focus on adapting this iconic machine specifically for triathlon. Removing considerations for UCI standards allowed Pinarello to make a much more aerodynamic frame, while adding adequate nutrition storage.

“The Bolide TR+ sets a new standard for triathlon,” says Roman Brana, owner of Epic Cycles in Clermont, Florida, a key Pinarello retail partner. “It will be exciting to watch what athletes, both pro and amateur, can do with this bike. I expect even more records to fall.”

Wurf, a big fan of motor sports, can’t wait for the chance to race his Bolide TR+ on the world-famous speedway. CHALLENGEDAYTONA is a unique event offering one of the best opportunities in triathlon to post a lightning-fast bike split. There’s no better venue for Pinarello to showcase their fastest triathlon bike yet.

Watch for Wurf on his Pinarello Bolide TR+ on December 9th. Fans may also view the bike in person pre and post event at the Epic Cycles booth at the CHALLENGEDAYTONA expo.
