Challenge Taiwan – Always Better Together

Under the banner, ‘Always Better Together’, Challenge Taiwan is preparing for its 10th anniversary. On 23 April, Challenge Taiwan, Asia’s largest triathlon, will take place with over 7,000 participants taking over both the middle and long distance, as well as numerous side events.

Challenge Taiwan will take place in Taitung, ‘the home of the sun’. It is a true triathlon festival with multiple side events, including the huge Junior Challenge. When the borders have been open, the beautiful and fast course has attracted the biggest names in sport over the long and middle distances, including Jan Frodeno.

As Challenge Taiwan celebrates its 10th anniversary, in Mandarin “Ten years old” sounds like “Glean the grain”. The image of a bumper harvest of rice ears, rich and splendid and beautiful, confirms the beauty of Taitung, and also symbolises the complete joy of triathlete’s training and goal achievement. Looking forward to the 10th anniversary of Challenge Taiwan, all the athletes and families who have joined in it will become better together, embracing this year’s slogan, “Always Better Together”!

Jovi Lo, CEO of Challenge Family Asia Pacific, said, “The belief in caring, devoting, accompanying the loved ones, and working together to face challenges has enabled us to achieve Challenge Taiwan’s unique triathlete spirit. With this powerful strength, the Challenge Taiwan 10th anniversary, let’s celebrate the extraordinary achievements we have achieved together. Welcome all the triathletes home to join the celebration!”

The swim takes place in Flowing Lake which is great for spectators. On the bike, athletes ride through the lofty Carp Mountains and along the spectacular Pacific coastline. The run course will combine the lively Taitung City centre with the scenic and peaceful surrounding countryside.

While the Challenge Family season has already started this year on three continents (Oceania – Challenge Shepparton, South America – Challenge Puerto Varas, Europe – Challenge Salou), Asia will now be added to the global reach of triathlon on the last weekend of April. Participating athletes can get ready for an even bigger spectacle than usual as they celebrate anniversary of Challenge Taiwan.
