At this weekend\u2019s celebrated Sailfish Night of the Year gala, the iconic race claimed the coveted \u201cRace of the Year\u201d title for an unprecedented fourteenth consecutive time &#8211; a testament to the passion, precision and community spirit that define the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s win came with a resounding 51% of the public vote, placing Roth well ahead of the World Championship races in Hawaii and Nice, which secured second and third place with 18% and 11%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the evening wasn\u2019t only about standout races. Sailfish Night also highlighted the athletes who shaped the season. On the international stage, Solveig Lovseth, Lucy Charles-Barclay and Kat Matthews were recognised among the women, while Casper Stornes, Kristian Blummenfelt and Hayden Wilde received honours on the men\u2019s side. Germany\u2019s Laura Philipp and Jonas Schomburg were named National Athletes of the Year.<br><br>A very special moment as well was when Alice Walchsh\u00f6fer was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest award in the triathlon scene, affectionately known as the \u2018Triathlon Oscars\u2019.
