Its return responds to the demand of the triathlon community and reinforces Barcelona’s position as a city capable of offering challenges for athletes of all ages and abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A sporting event for all levels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nSaturday 24 October will feature three swim-based events and the Aquathlon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Aquathlon: 750 m swim and 5 km run
\u2022 Open Water 1.9 km: one lap of the Mar Bella coastal circuit
\u2022 Open Water 3.8 km: two laps of the same course for long-distance swimming enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday 25 October the main triathlon day will take place, featuring four distances catering for every athlete:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Middle Distance: 1,900 m swim, 88 km bike (following the course introduced in 2025 between Barcelona and Matar\u00f3), and 21 km run.
\u2022 Olympic Distance: 1,500 m swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run – ideal for triathletes seeking a balanced challenge of intensity and endurance.
\u2022 Sprint Distance: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run – the most classic and popular distance of the Challenge Barcelona Triathlon.
\u2022 Junior Challenge: 300 m swim, 7 km bike, and 1.5 km run – designed for young athletes aged 12 to 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
