DATEV Challenge Roth race director, Felix Walchsh\u00f6fer, has been honoured for his outstanding services to triathlon in Roth with the Network Award of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region 2025. The award was presented on 20 January at the New Year’s reception at the Nuremberg Business Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018I am incredibly proud to have received this year’s Network Award on behalf of the entire triathlon district. The award shows that triathlon has an importance that goes far beyond sport and is the highlight of the year for so many people,\u2019 explains Felix Walchsh\u00f6fer and adds: \u2019The motto of the network award is perfect, because it only works together. Recognition for outstanding commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sabine Michel, organiser of the Nuremberg Entrepreneurs’ Congress and New Year’s Reception, paid tribute to Walchsh\u00f6fer in her laudatory speech: \u2019Every year I am amazed and grateful that we have so many people and organisations who are committed to our region.\u2019 In the new magazine of the Nuremberg Business Congress, the award winner is honoured with the words: \u2018Walchsh\u00f6fer has brought the Nuremberg metropolitan region to the wider world – and the wider world to Roth.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n Felix Walchsh\u00f6fer took over responsibility for DATEV Challenge Roth at the age of just 24 – without much experience or a large network. Thanks to his tireless efforts, passionate commitment and hard work, the event in Roth has become one of the biggest and most popular triathlon events in the world; the race has won the Race of the Year award 13 times in a row. Walchsh\u00f6fer never lost touch with his Franconian home. Together with thousands of volunteers, faithful partners and sponsors, he and his team create an unforgettable experience for the 3,500 individual starters and 700 relay teams every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u2018Together we are strong\u2019 Network Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Since 2014, the Network Award is awarded annually to individuals or institutions that have made a special contribution to the sustainable development and promotion of the Nuremberg metropolitan region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year’s jury included representatives from VR Bank, Schaffer & Partner, Goldbeck, N\u00fcrnberger Wach- und Schlie\u00dfgesellschaft and Unternehmer ORANGE.
