Fast, smooth roads and tropical jungle and striking modern architecture all feature in this middle distance race and it is conveniently situated just one hour from both Singapore and Johor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be back in Malaysia and in partnership with this incredible host city,\u201d said Challenge Family CEO, Jort Vlam. \u201cForest City is quite unique with its commitment to combining the environment and cutting-edge technology to create an idyllic future-led environment to live and work. We\u2019re looking forward to working with the experienced local team to add world-class triathlon to the mix, making the most of this spectacular setting. Its proximity to both Johor and Singapore means it\u2019s ideally suited for athletes looking for an easy-to-reach tropical triathlon experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are eagerly waiting for all the action to start this September. We look forward to welcoming triathlon to Forest City, Malaysia!\u201d said Challenge Malaysia Race Director, Aldrian Yeo<\/p>\n<p>The course is designed around spectator enjoyment as well as maximum athlete experience and kicks off with the 1.9km swim off the main beach and with average water temperatures at around 28C, wetsuits can be left at home! The 90km bike course ranges from cityscapes to ocean views to mangrove jungles, all on smooth, fast roads before a half marathon through the futuristic streets of Forest City, finishing in the tropical beachfront setting of the main race hub.<\/p>\n<p>With the flagship middle distance on 2 September, Challenge Malaysia will also host sprint distance and Junior Challenge events on 1 September, providing an inclusive weekend of sport for all ages and abilities.
