As the Mayor of Calvi\u00e0, Alfonso Rodr\u00edguez Badal, points out, the project is one of the banners of the strategic line marked out in the municipality to break the tourist seasonality by means of the offer of products and services based on areas such as sport, scenery, culture and gastronomy. The Mayor has stressed the importance of promoting sports events together with the promotion of our tourist destinations as ideal places for &#8220;training camps&#8221;, training and sports practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For his part, the CEO of <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Jort Vlam, expressed his satisfaction with the renewal of the agreement, stating that for the international brand <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> it is a great asset to have a race in Mallorca. Undoubtedly, one of the hallmarks of the franchise is to select the most iconic destinations in the world to host their events, and of course, Mallorca is one of those highlights. Jort Vlam also stressed the quality of the event held in Peguera, recalling that it was chosen as the best <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> event in the world in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Common project<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is an example of a public-private collaboration. The joint work between the Calvi\u00e0 Town Hall, the \u201cFundaci\u00f3n Calvi\u00e0 2004\u201d, the Peguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association and the Spanish Triathlon Federation (Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de triatl\u00f3n), which began in 2014 with the first edition of the event, has borne fruit. The event is currently thriving, managing to sell out registrations year after year and generating an economic impact in the area of more than 3,000,000 euros, as well as the movement of more than 3,000 people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About <\/b><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is one of the fastest growing global triathlon series. With almost 40 full and middle distances in 26 different countries, <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is changing the face of triathlon around the world. Due to spectacular courses in iconic destinations, no <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> race is like another. Focusing on delivering the race of a lifetime to athletes of all ages and abilities, <\/span><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAMILY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> races provide memorable experiences that capture all the excitement and emotions of this inspirational sport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About <\/b><b><i>CHALLENGE<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is a different, though, spectacular middle distance triathlon, the essence of what it means to compete in Mallorca.
