This event will be a fantastic opportunity for these athletes to close out the tremendous seasons they\u2019ve had, and fans everywhere will have the chance to watch them do so from start to finish,\u201d says <strong><em>CHALLENGE<\/em><\/strong><em>FAMILY <\/em>CEO Zibi Szlufcik.<\/p>\n<p>Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile adds,<br \/>\n\u201cThe strength of this professional field ensures, <strong><em>CHALLENGE<\/em><\/strong><em>DAYTONA<\/em> will be one of the most memorable events of the year. The entire course is optimized for viewing, with opportunities for spectators to get up close and cheer for their favorite pros midway through the swim, all along the bike and run legs, and at each transition juncture. The unique Daytona Distance Under the Lights race, exclusive to the professional field, will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th. The start time provides prime viewing for age group athletes competing in either Saturday\u2019s Sprint Distance events or Sunday\u2019s Middle Distance events. The late start is also designed to create an unprecedented sensory experience, as the lights at Daytona International Speedway\u2014normally reserved solely for NASCAR racing, sports cars and Supercross \u2014will illuminate the track at 5:30 p.m., just as the Florida sun sets and the pros speed around the track.<\/p>\n<p>An autograph session with pros will be hosted on December 13, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. &#8211; 3:45 p.m. at the <strong><em>CHALLENGE<\/em><\/strong><em>DAYTONA<\/em> expo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fan-favorites such as Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR) and Lionel Sanders (CAN) are among the star-studded field of over 50 athletes representing 12 countries set to race on December 13th-15th, 2019 at CHALLENGEDAYTONA.
