With less than a month to go before CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> middle distance triathlon takes place, registrations for the third consecutive year are SOLD OUT. With not a single one of the 1100 places left, the popularity of the event and it\u2019s consolidation as one of the best end of season triathlons in Europe has been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s going to triumph in the Pro Field?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year will see a stunning pro field in the main race, probably the best ever of all the editions so far. In the women’s pro field, the battle for the CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> 2019 throne is likely to be between Radka Kahlefeldt (CZE), the current favourite to win the CHALLENGE<\/strong>FAMILY <\/em>World Bonus ranking 2019, and Fenella Langridge (UK), who wants to repeat last year\u2019s great swim and bike performance, but improve her run to be on top of the podium, and not forget the 2017 winner, Judith Corachan from Spain.<\/p>\n

In the men’s pro field, favourites include the Spanish athlete, Pablo Dapena, who wants to retain his title of CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> champion 2018. But he\u2019s not alone in his quest to repeat history. The 2016 CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> champion, Pieter Heemeryck (BEL) is in a good shape and wants to become the first pro to win two titles. Ruedi Wild (CH) will be coming to the Spanish island with the aim of becoming the first Swiss man to win CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em>.<\/p>\n

An international event<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA <\/em>will be pleased to see a large number of international triathletes gathering in Calvi\u00e0 in pursuit of a double goal; to close the 2019 triathlon season with a high quality event and at the same time, spend a few days holiday on the sunny island of Mallorca. Triathletes from countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, New Zealand, Italy, Brazil, Slovakia, and Japan will take part in CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> 2019. In total, 37 different nationalities will be competing in the event, where 87% of athletes are foreign, amongst which, 27% are German and 26% British.<\/p>\n

Global experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a wide range of activities and side events planned around the main race. CHALLENGE<\/strong>PEGUERA-MALLORCA<\/em> will provide an amazing experience that goes beyond just hosting the best triathlon event. They have a programme of parallel activities, including a special Challenge race for children, parties, ‘Nit de Foc’, concerts, markets and other surprises, to ensure that triathletes and their friends and families make the most of their stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
