CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced COO to support CEO and oversee the Operations of CHALLENGE FAMILY with P&L responsibility, in line with the strategy and business plan set forth and agreed with the CEO. Ensuring the financial viability of all operations through securing income streams via sponsorships, partnerships and business development according to BP as well as effective management of human resources and contracts.

  1. The COO should be:

  • Able to build strong relationships with CHALLENGE FAMILY Team, race directors and partners

2.     Key responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Objectives, KPI’s
  • Creation of Additional Profit Centers
  • Payments management
  • Licensee’s relationship
  • Contract management

Operations

  • Production and implementation of annual operations plan (OP) to be developed in Q3 of each year in consultation with the CEO and creation of BP together withhim
  • Shared responsibility for successful delivery ofBP
  • Management of human resources including strong and empowering leadership to ensure maximum return on investment (e.g. regular appraisal interviews; review of incentives/targetagreements)
  • Allocation of HR roles and positions to ensure most effective use of resources with appropriate corresponding workloads (e.g. ongoing revision of organizationchart)
  • Maintenance and improvement of the contract management system and ongoing contract management of existing and new contracts with licensees and partners from CHALLENGEFAMILY

Financial

  • Managing the financial Budget of CHALLENGE FAMILY in line with the approved OP
  • Producing a quarterly detailed unaudited financial report
  • Producing a monthly top-level status overview to be presented to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Producing an annual financial audit at the end of each fiscal year done by an external auditor
  • Maintenance of strong supplier relationships through prompt payment of invoices
  • Helping to manage the company’s relations with keystakeholders

Other

  • Development of other revenue streams outside of core of existing business
  • Any other related task or project handed over by CEO and Board of Directors
  • Development of systems, structures and processes for ongoing improvement

4.     Key Performance Indicators

  • Development of strong core team of human resources according to the Business plan to deliver world class standard’s
  • Delivery of annual results according to the budget
  • Contractual approval and procurement of relationships from contractual perspective
  • Procurement of cash flow as per budget to ensure financial viability of CHALLENGEFAMILY
  • Production of monthly reports as per agreed schedule
  • Ensuring profitable returns on investment
  • Identifying other business development income streams

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Help developing, implementing and executing regional and global business plans and budgets as well as performance standards for CHALLENGE FAMILY. Monitor performance in relation to marketing investments.

Support race directors, help developing and implementing business plans and business reviews as well as maintain on going RD relationship

Organize and maintain records, files, and company documentation. Regular Reporting to CEO
